Can’t resist this contest sponsored by Girl Scouts of Western Washington!  It’s A Doggie Cookie contest.  Our beloved white lab is also a foodie and ADORES this recipe.  It was originally the fav of Gus, our Dalmatian, who has gone on to romp in the doggie afterlife.  Try them for your own 4-legged companion – they are a taste of doggie heaven!



1/2 cup Dry Milk

2 1/2 cups Whole Wheat Flour

1 teaspoon sugar

1 teaspoon salt

6 Tablespoons margarine

1 egg

1/2 cup cold water


Knead three minutes

Roll 1/2” thick and cut into cookie rounds.CIMG4883

Bake on a lightly greased cookie sheet for 30 minutes at 350 degrees


For variation add 3 Tablespoons chicken or beef bouillon or dry soup.
